Why is Marilyn Monroe’s severe endometriosis NEVER considered when it comes to the topic of her death? The disease that she had 3 surgeries for, that she had at least 3 miscarriages and a ectopic pregnancy because of and that she wrote impassioned letters to her doctors about? Going so far as to tape letters on her stomach for her doctor to find during surgery?
The poor woman overdosed on barbiturates aka pain and sleeping pills which she was started on BECAUSE of her endometriosis! Could maybe her severe periods and chronic pain that caused her to suffer silently, writing letters to only her doctors and keeping private journals documenting her pain, could that all maybe just maybe be a reason that she died? It’s all well documented at this point.
People always want to chalk her death up to be some massive conspiracy theory but I really unfortunately believe that it is a simple case of a woman being in pain and grieving. It’s a story that literally 1 in 10 cisgender women (at least and including myself) understand far too well but yet it still never considered when talking about her death…
